15-year-old John Kurt Inventor died in Bacolod City | Frat Hazing Victim

A story of an alleged fraternity hazing victim identified as John Kurt Inventor, 15 years old and from Bacolod City, is making the rounds online. The boy reportedly suffered several critical injuries after a frat initiation rite that was conducted last week, the Bombo Radyo reports.

The local media in Bacolod City published the controversial death of the 15-year-old boy, who allegedly went home uneasy last week. The family of the victim thought that he was just experiecing a fever but were shocked when they saw John Kurt Inventor vomitting a large volume of blood. They immediately rushed him to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, where attending physicians discovered multiple wounds on the victim’s body.

The medical certificate revealed critical findings on the health condition of the boy. John Kurt suffered bruises on both knees, cigarette burns on his feet, a fractured shoulder, and he sustained a stab wound on his back which could have been inflicted by a pointed object such as an ‘icepick’ (Philstar).

John Kurt Inventor died on Monday but his family is still clueless whether his sudden death was a result of hazing or not. A certain blog mentioned that the family of John Kurt failed to extract any information from him due to his weak condition. The 15-year-old boy was allegedly very weak and could not afford to initiate a conversation to his family. During the boy’s medical treatment in the hospital, John Kurt communicated to his family through hand signals. In a certain visit, the boy showed a hand gesture about a frat group.

The death certificate of John Kurt Inventor revealed that his death was triggered by a septic shock or in layman’s term called ‘infection’.

Meanwhile, Evelyn Casiano, principal of Abkasa National High School in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City refuted the claims that fraternity or gang groups exist in the campus. In an interview, Casiano said she personally gathered the classmates of John Kurt, teachers, and the discipline committee members of the school upon learning the report. She firmly stated that none of them had any idea of the alleged hazing incident that purportedly occurred to the 15-year-old student. In addition, the principal said that Inventor had several friends outside the school(Philstar).

On the other hand, Bacolod City Mayor Monico O. Puentevella immediately asked the local police to form a task force to thoroughly investigate the death of theĀ 15-year-old student John Kurt Inventor(ABS-CBN news).
