An innocent 12-year-old girl identified by GMA news as Rochelle Ingal was reportedly killed in Barit, Candaba, Pampanga on August 15, 2014. The killing of Rochelle happened a day after Anria Galang Espiritu was brutally killed and raped in Calumpit Bulacan.
Rochelle Ingal, born on September 18, 2001, purportedly attended a school event last Friday. Her mother, Rosita Ingal, was scheduled to meet her up in a certain street in Barit right after the field trip. However, the younger Ingal failed to arrive at the meeting place. A few hours later, Rochelle was found dead with a broken skull in a grassy lot in Candaba, Pampanga.
According to the police investigators, the body of the victim was full of flood when it was retrieved from the crime scene. The forensic experts also noticed a remarkable number of bruises on her head and wounds all over her body. A twig was also pierced to her face which might have been extended into her brain and could have caused her death.
The parents of the victim believe that the their daughter tried to fight back before the killing incident. The older Ingal also speculated that the suspects might have tried to rape Rochelle.
In an interview, the mother of Rochelle Ingal pleaded to the suspect(s) to immediately turn themselves in to the police.
“Sinasabi ko sayo, bakit mo ginawa sa anak ko ‘yon? Napakawala mo namang puso. Mahal na mahal ko yung anak ko, hindi ko man yan sinasaktan. Makonsensya ka naman, sumuko ka na.”
As of press time, the assailant(s) is(are) still on the loose and the identity of the suspect(s) is(are) not yet known.
Meanwhile, netizens in the nearby provinces are infuriated with the series of murder and rape incident reports. A blogger of DiversityHuman.com reiterated their call to reestablish the capital punishment in the country to eliminate these threats in the society.
