A woman identified as Rowena Felisilda was found dead on the The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Mabalacat, Pampanga, the GMA news reports on Friday.
Rowena Felisilda, 25 years old, sustained gunshot wounds to the head and hands. The victim, allegedly a resident of Angeles, Pampanga, was killed at Mawaque Sta. Maria Road, Barangay Mawaque, Mabalacat, Pampanga. She was wearing a denim shorts and a stripped sleeveless shirt.
The authorities who responded the report immediately arrived at the crime scene, where they the saw the victim lying face down with blood all over her head. The initial investigation of Mabalacat PNP showed that the victim had a gunshot burn on her hands, which could be an indicator that the woman attempted to fight back with the perpetrator. Some witnesses mentioned that they heard a gunshot in the area but none of them saw the person who did it.
The PNP officials were able to contact the family of Rowena Felisilda. They arrived at the police station around 5p.m. on the same date. The victim’s family members were not aware of the incident and were surprised when they were told about the news. The brother of the victim is speculating that the estranged husband of his sister could be the suspect behind the killing.
As of writing, the authorities are still conducting additional investigation to identify the suspect and the motive of the murder incident of Rowena on NLEX Mabalacat, Pampanga. Crime detectives ruled out the possibility of robbery since Rowena Felisilda’s bag containing her wallet and cellphone were found untouched in the crime scene.
