Kapuso stars Barbie Forteza, 27, and Jak Roberto, 31, have separated after a seven-year relationship.

This was confirmed by Barbie herself through an Instagram post this Thursday, January 2, 2025—a day after New Year's Day. In her emotional post around 6 P.M., it is evident that Barbie holds no ill feelings towards their breakup.

She even managed to praise her ex-boyfriend and say that she was happy during their seven years together.

Barbie started her announcement with a quote from American children's author Theodor Seuss Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss.

The Kapuso actress began, “‘Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened’ - Dr. Seuss.” Following this, Barbie summarized their seven-year relationship.

The actress praised her former boyfriend: “Having you in my life was the happiest I had ever been. Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen, and so much love.

“Your love was exceptional.

“But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together. “Beautiful goodbye, @jakroberto."

Barbie added, “Thank you for loving me the way you did. I am excited for what’s to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve.

“I hope for everyone’s understanding and I wish you can help us put this matter to rest.”

Barbie did not mention any details about the reason for their breakup. Many were shocked by the actress' announcement because just last December 2024, they celebrated Jak's birthday together. In a post on Instagram, Jak Roberto shared, "The best birthday ever! Thank you to everyone who came and greeted! Thank you Lord for another year of my life! Just six weeks ago, Barbie and Jak also celebrated their "monthsary," exchanging "I love you's."
