Usain Bolt remains the fastest Man - London Olympics 2012
LONDON—Jamaica’s Usain Bolt won the Olympic 100m final on Sunday and made a record defending his title with the second fastest time in history. Bolt swept across the line in a new Olympic record of 9.63sec, pipping compatriot and world champion Yohan Blake who took silver. His new Olympic record let him join Carl Lewis as the only men to claim consecutive gold medals in the marquee track and field event at the Summer Games.

Few weeks ago, we said that the fastest man in the world has slowed down after comrade Yohan Blake defeated him twice during the Jamaican Olympic Trials.
The London Olympics is the witness of his statement last month that he was prepared to win the Olympic gold despite his loss to Yohan.
Indeed, he made it true. Congratulations, Usain Bolt!

Olympic Fact: Dark Secret of the Olympic Village
Dark Secret of the Olympic Village
I was searching for some unusual Olympic information and I got something that you should know. Let's try to sneak into the Olympic Village and check the dark side of it.
Remember whatever you read here, leave it here. (LoL)
When people meets new faces, something will definitely ignite their senses. The excitement to know them and the thrill to be with other races who can't speak your own language gives you more interest. This is the typical feeling of any athlete who joins the Olympic event.
Now, to what extent are you going to socialize if you are going to be part of the Olympic squad of the Philippines? I will leave that question to you. My main purpose of this article is to show the dark side of the Olympic Village. (Isn't that obvious? That's the title of my article, LOL)
If we talk sports it's just like we are referring to ESPN. And that's where I got the next series of information which I call the "Dark Secret of the Olympic Village".
TAKE YOUR MARK
Home to more than 10,000 athletes at the Summer Games and 2,700 at the Winter, the Olympic Village is one of the world's most exclusive clubs. To join, prospective members need only have spectacular talent and -- we long assumed -- a chaste devotion to the most intense competition of their lives.
London Olympics 2012 - a show of Anti-Aircraft Missiles
London Olympics displays Anti-Aircraft Missiles
London, United Kingdom - Missile batteries were placed in six sites around London including two apartment buildings where residents had previously expressed reservations about hosting the anti-aircraft weapons in prepration of the upcoming Olympics.
Aside from Rapier and High-Velocity missile batteries, a Royal Navy helicopter carrier in the River Thames, Royal Air Force jets and army helicopters will be stationed nearby.
Defense Secretary Phillip Hammond said that there is no reported threat to the London Olympics but the public should expect that a range of measures will be in place which aims general safety and security of this once-in-a-generation event. He added that "ground-based air defense systems will form just one part of a comprehensive, multi-layered air security plan which, I believe, will provide both reassurance and a powerful deterrent."
Additional anti-aircraft missile batteries are in place in farmland and hills east and south of London. The Olympic complex is north of the Thames and east of central London near the Stratford and West Ham mass transit stations.

Usain Bolt who is turning 26 next month is a Jamaican sprinter and a five-time World and three-time Olympic gold medalist. He is the reigning Olympic champion. He holds the world record and Olympic record in the 100 metres, the 200 metres and (along with his teammates) the 4×100 metres relay(wikipedia.com). But guess what? Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake raced twice over the weekend at the Jamaican Olympic Trials and Blake won both times(Yahoo news).
First, he defeated the world-record holder in the 100 by 0.11 seconds, a staggering margin that Bolt is usually on the other end of. Then, in a much bigger surprise, Blake did it again in the 200, hanging Bolt his first major-competition loss in the event in five years(Yahoo news). Usain who has been giving professional tips to Blake is now in deep trouble.
What seems to be the problem of Usain? The lightning bolt is nearing to an end.
Sports fans highly criticized Usain Bolt of his lame execuses over the loss he had but let's take a deep look of the statistics between these two great sprinters.
Name: Usain Bolt |
Name: Yohan Blake Age: 22 All time record: 13 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze |
The only factor that I can consider from above is age. Though Usain is exposed to many international competitions, when age strikes you really can't do anything. However, still these two great athletes will definitely be one of the greatest attractions of the Olympics this year. So good luck to both of them!
