Filipina Leanne Binyas-Semana,Aylene Semana drowned in California
Two Filipinas were reportedly drowned in California when the two got caught in the high surf.
Leanne Binyas-Semana, 30 and Aylene Semana, 28, residents of Milpitas were fishing with their husbands at Bonny Doon beach near Santa Cruz when all of a sudden a group of huge waves hit and pulled them away from the shorelines.
State parks officials said the husbands, who are brothers, dived into the deep waters to save their wives, but unfortunately some big waves pushed them back. State park lifeguards, the Santa Cruz harbor patrol, and the coast guard recovered the bodies of Leanne Binyas and Aylene Semana an hour later.
Santa Cruz county sheriffs said the drowning "appears to be accidental" as the waters in that area brings extreme danger, especially in the afternoon as it shifts from low to high tide. - ABS-CBN news
