"Flappy Bird" is the newest, coolest, and hottest game which has taken the Android and Apple app store by storm.

Have you ever seen someone tapping on their phones like crazy? Or did you hear your friends talking about the fat and long-beaked ugly bird? Well, if you are not familiar with this mobile game, then you better read this.

A Vietnamese app builder named Nguyen Ha Dong of GEARS Studios created "Flappy Bird", which received relatively little attention on May 2013. However, it started to draw more downloads in December last year and last month it really picked up the chart. Since then, the recorded downloads of Flappy Bird mobile game for Android and Apple versions remarkably made a huge leap.

Here's the gameplay of Flappy Bird and its game environment.

It involves tapping your device's screen to propel a small but fat bird through a series of pipes. (I think the app developer is a fan of Mario because of the design of the pipes). Now, when you successfully passed a certain number of obstacles, you will be rewarded with a medal, of course that reward happens when the bird slams into the pipes or it hits the ground. Flappy Bird is very difficult to control(based on my own experience). Though the design of the game is very simple still the level of difficulty looks extreme.

Try to imagine this, the moment you start tapping the smartphone, your finger could no longer relax since you have to continue doing it to maintain the position of Flappy Bird or to make it move higher. What makes it more difficult is the bird keeps on falling faster than you need it to. Honestly, the first time I played this on my phone, I had an overwhelming frustrations! Good thing, when I searched the web I found out that I am not actually alone. You know what? The developer of "Flappy Bird" app even received harsh comments from the players who got addicted to it but failed to reach higher scores. The best score I had so far is only 30. So, I really don't know the exact levels the game could offer.
