Filipina caregiver and X-factor singing sensation Rose Fostanes made a shocking revelation on national television regarding her long time girlfriend. Fostanes admitted that she was in her teens when she met the girl, whom she would love for years. The striking news is making the rounds on social networking sites such as Facebook and micro-blogging site, Twitter.com.

Fostanes and her girlfriend hits the headline news after the x-factor winner admitted her long distance relationship in the episode of "Aquino & Abunda Tonight". In a report, Fostanes purportedly met Mel Adel during her teenage years.

"I was 16 years old when we first met. I think she was only 22," Fostanes said.

Rose said they were separated for over 15 years when she decided to work in Middle East. However, despite the difficulty in maintaining a long-distance relationship, Fostanes was able to nurture their romance.

"There was no cellphone nor skype that time. Pa-letter letter lang and voice tapes," she added.

Fostanes remained loyal to her girlfriend and stressed that her heart belongs only to Mel. Rose credited her success in X-factor Israel to her girlfriend for over 30 years. She said seeing Adel in the studio helped her boost her confidence.

"She really helped a lot kasi nung nanuod siya kailangan ko magyabang sa kanya. I have to give my best," she said.

Asked if she felt scared to reveal her relationship on national television, Fostanes proudly said:

"There's nothing to hide and nothing to be ashamed of. We've been together for 30 years."
