OFW Wife on Vacation Abused by Husband in Pasig, Sustained Severe Skin Burns
A certain wife named Racedha H. Autor who is an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was allegedly abused by her own husband while spending her vacation in Pasig city. The woman sustained severe burns and bruises after her partner wildly attacked her last week.
Racedha posted on her social media account that she arrived from abroad last December 2, 2014. She also stated that she and her husband, Jilvinson "Vince" Bandivas Pagaling, had an amicable settlement last December 23, 2014. However, a certain conversation led to some misunderstanding and resulted to a heavy fight. She then asked her stepmother to fetch her in Pasig.
On January 1, 2015, Racedha received a message from her supposed ex-husband telling her to visit their house in Pasig because their car (VIOS with plate no. UEI 209) already has a buyer and some documents will require her signature. Vince also wanted to discuss some other plans regarding the car. Racedha, along with her stepmother, Mandina Libarios, and other relatives, went to Pasig city.
When Autor arrived in Pasig, Jilvinson asked her stepmother and other relatives to just stay outside the house hinting that they will have a serious private conversation. Vince allegedly locked the apartment and the two of them started to have a heated argument resulting to physical abuse which she didn't expect to occur. Jilvinson Pagaling allegedly grabbed her hair and attempted to strangle her out. She then received repeated blows right to her face and was also threatened to be killed while a handgun was aimed to her.
Racedha was dragged to their kitchen area where a hot pot was used to burn the skin of her beautiful face and other area of her body. The suspect decided to stop the assault when the stepmother of the victim stepped in between them and urged the man to stop the physical abuse.
The suspect was immediately reported to the police but upon return to their house, the suspect already escaped. Several photos of the battered wife were spread on Facebook which were originally taken from her uploaded photo album on her social media account.
Here are the photos of the alleged suspect, Jilvinson "Vince" Bandivas Pagaling.
Mandina Libarios issued a statement on TV Patrol that she will fight and will not stop seeking justice for her stepdaughter. She added that the suspect should serve jailtime for the physical abuse done to the OFW woman who is just spending her vacation in the country.
According to a crime and human rights expert working at Women and Children protection desk in Camp Crame, the case of Racedha Autor falls under the code of Violence against Women and Children. Thus, the victim was requested to submit her sworn statement that would indicate the details of the incident including the medical certificate which will serve as her ultimate evidence to the court regarding the alleged physical abuse made by her husband.
As of press time, the medical treatment of Racedha is still in progress but currently she is now in stable condition. The severe burns sustained by Racedha, however, may take a long period before it would totally heal.
Meanwhile, a separate post of Racedha on Facebook showed a woman allegedly linked to her estranged husband. It was dated a year ago, which could have been the main reason of their bloody confrontation last January 1, 2015.
