Embarrassing Moment of Nancy Binay at the Senate Hearing (Video)
An embarrassing moment of Nancy Binay was captured in a video and has gone viral on social media over the last few days. The short clip shows the young senator asking a question to Grace Poe which resulted to a very awkward moment for Binay.
A video titled “Nancy Binay gets owned by Grace Poe” shows a short conversation of the senators during the Senate hearing of the Mamasapano clash early this year. The 26-second video raked thousands of views when a certain netizen re-shared the old video on Facebook.
In the video, Nancy Binay–with full of self-confidence, interrupted Senator Grace Poe and requested DFA USec Evan Garcia “to submit to the body as to the extent of the help of the Americans with regards to this[Mamasapano] operation?” Grace Poe immediately replied, “Well, apparently there’s none.”
A long silence was observed on the floor.
A few seconds later, Senator Poe reiterated that Americans had no active participation regarding the operation of SAF in the territory of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).
Nancy Binay was obviously in an awkward state. The embarrassed Senator was even looking around, most likely hoping that someone could enlighten and substantiate the answer of Poe. This prompted DFA USec Garcia to repeat his previous statement citing that there was no reported coordination between the US military and the Philippine forces.
