Remarkable milestones of DiversityHuman.com
DiversityHuman.com was launched December 18, 2011 which was about two weeks earlier than our scheduled launch, January 4, 2012. I made that decision because I had a very important thing that I was mindful of-to help the donation campaign for CDO flood victims.
I never thought that DiversityHuman.com would be able to have a lot of success in our first two quarters of operation. But to my surprise, we had a lot of milestones within the last six months.
First, DiversityHuman.com ranked 8,000,000+ on our first month of operation. As we keep on blogging we got a better rank in February. And it keeps on getting better since then. Our current Alexa global rank is now 1,080,431. I don't know if Alexa rank matters or not but I think somehow it coincides with the web traffic that we were getting within the last three months.
Second, DiversityHuman.com was linked back by no other than-GMA news online. I thought our site isn't that visible in google and in other search engines but when I did a couple of searches with some popular keywords we even got the top spot of the search results in both yahoo and MSN. Our articles are also hitting the first page of google searches when I used the same keywords.
That's not all folks! When I checked the logs last night I found out that DiversityHuman.com was even linked by one of the most popular blog sites in the world-huffingtonpost.com!
It's been a while that we referenced a couple of our articles to huffingtonpost.com and we didn't really expect that out of no where, no direct communication from them or anything, no acquaintance and suddenly they linked us back! I mean, we are so grateful that they considered one of our posts a reliable source(maybe in my own perspective). We were completely astonished the moment we saw the back link to our article. I mean, huffingtonpost is an American blog site and they refer a link coming from a native Filipino? For us, that was really awesome!
Honestly, I could not even find a perfect article in our site with no grammatical errors. This is a very big challenge for the entire staff of DiversityHuman.com. We are native Filipinos, we don't have any background in linguistics, we are not professional writers, etc. But it seems that our patience and perseverance slowly bears a fruitful outcome.
When it comes to monetizing the site?--that I am not fully decided yet. We adverstised our site in Facebook but accepting sponsors is another thing. We barely get any profit out of this blog site but one thing that we are proud to share - WE ARE VERY MUCH HAPPY of the OUTCOME. We are satisfied and we will continue to learn writing to be of better service to the Filipino community here and across the seven seas!
Did I miss to mention someone?
YES! You are absolutely right! We won't achieve all of these without your full support. To all avid readers of DiversityHuman.com who love to be a silent reader, (because they chose not to speak up via the comment box. LOL!) we owe this success to you and we fully appreciate you for dropping in our blog site once in a while to have a peek on our articles! Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
