Cherie Gil Walks Out of the Set of Ikaw Lamang
Veteran actress Cherie Gil reportedly walked out from the set of the ABS-CBN’s "Ikaw Lamang," soap opera. It was confirmed by Dreamscape publicity head Mr. Eric John Salut last Thursday.
According to his social media accounts, Cherie Gil, who plays the role of Miranda, mother of Franco (Jake Cuenca) wanted to leave the set for a send-off party she had to attend. However, it was in her knowledge that she is to shoot her scenes up until 2a.m.
Salut implies that Ms. Cherie already knows her schedule supposedly for the day, that she was to stay on set until 2am for them to finish shooting her scenes. Still she chose to leave the set without asking permission in advance.
"To set the record straight: Cherie Gil is supposed shoot her scenes till 2AM (the usual cut off) but she wanted to leave at 10PM to attend a send-off party. Siyempre, hindi siya pinayagan ng production kasi hindi siya nagpaalam ahead of time.” Salut tweeted.
"She was permitted to a 2-week leave for her musical play. The day she walked out of the taping was the day she resumed taping for Ikaw Lamang. Why blame the production? Why blame the writers? This is not fair! Teka lang ha," he added.
Cherie Gil had also complained about the work ethics when it came to soap Operas. She had mentioned that Salut was just twisting the truth and she no longer wants to speak of the issue. She rests her case. It was through twitter that this exchange of conversations happened.
Isn’t it uncanny that Aljur Abrenica has been having similar issues regarding his soap opera tapings in GMA? Recently, these issues with handlers and their talents have been emerging.
Is the world of show business becoming too much even for those who have been long working in the industry?
