Rude Behavior of Cristine Reyes Triggers Resignation of Vivian Velez

Veteran actress Vivian Velez quits from the ABS-CBN soap opera “Tubig at Langis” over the alleged "rude" behavior of Cristine Reyes that has been repeatedly happening for months. She reportedly filed an "immediate irrevocable resignation" to the giant TV network.

Velez posted a shocking surprise message on Facebook describing her utmost disappointment to an actress she works with for a hit series aired on ABS-CBN "Tubig at Langis". The alleged rude behavior of the celebrity, who was later confirmed as Cristine Reyes, triggered Vivian's decision to submit her resignation to the TV network. The controversial post of Velez reads,

"With much trepidation, I would like to tender my immediate irrevocable resignation, effective immediately, from the show, ‘Tubig at Langis.’ I have never been so upset and humiliated by an actress in my entire career spanning four decades!"

In the quick interview conducted by Philippine Entertainment Portal (PeP), Vivian Velez admitted that Cristine Reyes became too disrespectful to her in the last few weeks. Velez claimed that she was treated by Cristine differently whenever they share a standby room. In one particular instance, Cristine allegedly banged the doors and impolitely asked her to leave the area because Reyes wanted to use it privately. Since then, Vivian noticed Reyes constantly humiliating her in public.

Aside from the uncalled acts of rudeness of Reyes, Vivian also revealed that Cristine keeps on complaining to the production staff as to why they are nice to Velez. Cristine allegedly said that she should receive better treatment and higher priority at all times compared to the veteran actress.

In an interview by Inquirer news, Velez was quoted saying, "Grabe siya. Bastos." On several occasions Cristine reportedly sang various songs with lyrics containing a message about "Goodbye and Farewell" stories. The young actress has been doing this right in front of her face.

Two separate incidents occurred where Reyes confronted Vivian and arrogantly asked her to leave the room. The first instance happened last week and the latest occurrence was just last night.  Also, Cristine again sang, "Goodbye, Farewell" in front of her face while they were filming a particular scene in Bulacan.

Vivian said, "It was the rudest thing anyone had ever done to me." Co-star Zanjoe Marudo quickly provided comfort to Vivian as she was already crying her heart out at the middle of the rehearsal.

According to Vivian, Cristine found out that she was contemplating on quitting the show. "She wanted to humiliate me… that she was happy to see me go," said Velez.

Vivian Velez will have a meeting with the showrunners of “Tubig at Langis” on Monday but she plans to pursue her irrevocable resignation.
