The pilot episode of "Dyesebel" on Monday puts Anne Curtis on top of the trending topics on Twitter. The kapamilya actress was lauded by thousands of fans and majority of them turned to social media sites and shared their positive comments to their online friends.

The fascinating debut telecast of "Dyesebel" (with Anne Curtis as the seventh actress to play the lead role) shows the actress in orange-tailed mermaid look. The latest adaptation of Mars Ravelo comic series immediately earned praises from local viewers. The official hashtag, "#DyesebelAngSimula," topped the most talked-about topics on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.com, while the episode was aired on ABS-CBN.

The pilot episode of "Dyesebel" circled on the romantic relationship between Tino (Albert Martinez) and Lucia (Dawn Zulueta), who are the parents of the comic character.

Tino went outrageous upon learning the death of several sea creatures and destruction of aquatic resources due to the dynamite fishing activity by a group of villagers. The prince of merfolk vowed to retaliate to the fishermen, however, he unexpectedly changed his decision upon seeing Lucia and her father (Bembol Roco) having a debate with a group of fishermen and demanding them to stop using the illegal method in catching fish.

During the confrontation, a dynamite accidentally exploded, causing Lucia and her father to be thrown into the seawater. The prince attempted to save Lucia and her father. While they remain unconscious, Tino brought both of them to the seashore. Lucia's father died due to the fatal injuries he sustained from the explosion.

Tino was then enticed to the beauty of Lucia and when he got near to the shoreline, Lucia saw him. She was utterly shocked but after fleeing from the site, she realized the efforts of Tino in saving her father. She then requested to talk and thank Tino. At the beach, Lucia sitted beside Tino and both of them talked about their personal lives.

Also seen in the pilot episode of "Dyesebel" were Ai Ai delas Alas, Eula Valdez, Jaime Fabregas, and John Regala.

"Dyesebel" airs weeknights at 7:40 p.m.

Meanwhile, KC Concepcion was initially rumored to take the role of the fantasy series, but after weeks of waiting, it turned out that Anne Curtis got the role of Dyesebel. Curtis also recently graced the cover of Metro magazine March 2014 issue. She was seen in mermaid outfit.
