However, during the press conference of Vic’s Metro Manila Film Festival 2015 entry "My Bebe Love", Sotto firmly denied the rumors. He stressed to the journalists and field reporters that there are no specific details nor exact wedding plans yet. The disclosure made by the famous noon time host induced several reactions online.

“Kwento kwentuhan pa lang, no details yet… Yung mga end of the year, walang ganoong detalye,” said Vic Sotto.

Nonetheless, the majority of the netizens believe that the showbiz couple will soon get married since Pauleen Luna publicly shared last week her engagement ring. The viral Instagram photo made headlines when the 26-year-old TV personality uploaded a picture showing her engagement ring with a caption, “In God’s perfect time.”

Another clue that the followers of the couple are talking about is the statement of Vic Sotto that goes like;

For me personally before the Year of the Goat ends.

To many, issuing that statement is a partial confirmation regarding the speculation that Sotto and Pauleen will have their wedding this Christmas season since it would be too late if they will have their marriage set up early next year. As mentioned in an article by ABS-CBN news, “the Year of the Goat will last until February 7, 2016.”
