Jollibee offers cashless Payment Transaction

Hey friends, I have a good news to share especially to those people who don't like to bring cash when going out to take their lunch break or dinner in their favorite food outlet-Jollibee. The company just recently launched a cashless payment method.

Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) with a total of 2,004 food outlets nationwide and in partnership with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) proudly launch a “cashless” payment system(Philstar news).

Last week Mabuhay Taxi in Davao city also announced a cashless payment in cooperation of China Bank and BancNet & megalink networks. It's indeed more fun in the Philippines.

Mabuhay taxi implements a wireless POS while Jollibee implement "happyplus" card which was pioneered at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City on Monday that runs on a regular POS terminals. JFC chairman and chief executive officer Tony Tan Caktiong and BPI president Aurelio Montinola led the launching ceremony.

“We have managed to integrate easy and fast transaction for our customers ordering and paying for their favorite food in any participating JFC stores nationwide through the use of happyplus card,” he said(Philstar news).

The happyplus card is JFC’s customer loyalty program that rewards its members points every time they eat in participating Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, and soon in Mang Inasal, establishments(Philstar news).

The points accumulated can be used as payment for any item sold in any participating JFC stores.

What are the advantages of having a happyplus card(Philstar news)?

1. For every P50 purchase, the card owner earns one point equal to P1.
2. Customers will also be given corresponding raffle entries for their purchases.
3. Membership is good for three years.

The card is available at all participating JFC stores for P100 each. The card has a minimum credit of P100 and a maximum purse and credit load limit of P10,000(Philstar news).
