Almost a Dozen of Cats Killed in Antipolo City
A man was reportedly arrested in Antipolo city due to the alleged cat killing spree in the city.
The 29-year-old suspect, identified as Marvin Reyes, killed 10 cats without clear reasons. According to the sister of the suspect, Marvin was previously jailed for violent behaviors such as screaming to their neighbors and throwing various objects to his siblings.
In the recent incident, photos of the cats massacred by the suspect became viral on Facebook which prompted concerned citizens to report the case to the local authorities. Two days later, Marvin Reyes was arrested.
The suspect admitted to the crime and was charged for violating the Animal Welfare Act. Additional charges were filed against Reyes for malicious mischief and trespassing.
Meanwhile, a report also cited that the suspect was once a drug-dependent.
