Atom Araullo Helped Flood Rescue in Tacloban Viral Video
Atom Araullo's live coverage of the super typhoon Yolanda last November 8 ,2013 was a trending topic on social media. Just last night, another video of Araullo has gone viral on social networking sites. It showed the rescue efforts of Atom Araullo and his crew.
In the eight minutes and 41 seconds video published by ABS-CBN news, Atom Araullo was seen submerged in the dangerous rising floodwaters to aid the victims in the neighborhood. Araullo and his crew used ropes with its end tied at the building's front gate. One by one, Araullo helped the residents cross deep floods to reach the stairs of the building. The residents had to seek refuge in higher buildings due to the massive storm surges caused by super typhoon "Yolanda."
According to ABS-CBN news, the raw video shot Friday was only transmitted Saturday via facilities in Cebu due to communication breakdown in Tacloban city. As of press time, the original video published on its official website has already registered 9.8K of facebook shares.
