Baby Kidnapper in Mandaluyong arrested in Camarines Sur
The suspect who kidnapped a 3-month-old baby in Mandaluyong was nabbed by authorities in Bicol region Tuesday afternoon. The baby was also recovered with the arrest of the suspect in Barangay Mangogon, Lagonoy, Camarines Sur and was reportedly in good condition.
Police said that an informant called up the Mandaluyong police station on Monday and provided vital information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect. Senior Supt. Florendo Quibuyen, chief of the Mandaluyong City Police Station, said he immediately contacted the Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office under Senior Supt. Ramiro Bausa, who then sent policemen to the location of the suspect.
According to the police officer , a team from the Mandaluyong City Police Station-Women and Children Protection Desk under Senior Inspector Melanie Martires, has been sent to the municipality of Lagonoy to fetch both the baby and the suspect, who was earlier identified as Lovelyn Casipe.
The suspect has been taken to the Mandaluyong City Police Station, where a crime of kidnapping is expected to be filed against her before the Prosecutor's Office. The baby, on the other hand, was turned-over to her mother, Liezel Tugade Diamon, 33, jobless, and a resident of Block 38, Saluyot St. , Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.
Lovelyn Casipe admitted to the crime, saying she only wished her husband would be happy to see the baby she presented as their child to conceal her own miscarriage. The suspect's live-in partner, who has yet to be identified as of press time, will also be brought to Mandaluyong City, where he will be questioned to determine his participation in the crime. -GMA news, Manila Bulletin, InterAksyon news
