Bea Rose Santiago "fairy tale-like" victory parade in Makati
Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is known for giving out luxurious victory parade for each Filipina beauties who won a world title. Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago is one of those lucky beauties who was given a "fairy tale-like" victory parade in Makati.
On Friday, MMDA had organized a parade for Bea Santiago which started at the Buendia Fire Station all the way to the Intercontinental Hotel on EDSA corner Ayala Avenue. Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago waved and smiled sweetly at supporters on Friday noon while on board a rose-themed float.
The 2013 Miss International also posted some photos of the parade on her Instagram account. The "selfies" were taken from her float and captioned "Thank you for the best gift!"
“Thank you so much for my fairy tale-like parade! I cried,” she said on another Instagram post.
Bea Rose Santiago also uploaded a short video clip of the victory parade from her vantage point.
The 23-year old beauty queen, who bested 66 other delegates in this year’s Miss International pageant, thanked MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino after the event. The MMDA made arrangements for the parade upon the request of the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc.
Meanwhile, the second leg of her victory parade was held around Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City at 4 p.m. Friday. (ABS-CBN news, PDI news)
