John Paul Encinas facing charges after being caught on video assaulting a female cashier
John Paul Encinas, a laundry shop owner who is currently in hot water after he was caught on video assaulting a female cashier in Manila, is facing unjust vexation, physical injury, and threat and slander by deed.
A closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, aired by GMA news program "24 Oras", showed suspect John Paul Encinas dousing cashier Marjorie Reynaldo with water, throwing a bottle at her, pulling her by the collar and shoving money in her face.
The confrontation reportedly began when Encinas asked Marjorie Reynaldo (cashier) if he could go to his car first to get the money for his Php85 bill.
However, Encinas claimed Reynaldo rudely responded to his request by saying:
"Ay hindi, kailangan magbayad ka na. Kailan ka magbabayad, ngayon? Bukas? Sa isang taon?"
From the CCTV footage Encinas left the restaurant but later came back and then attacked Reynaldo.
Encinas admitted his mistake and made an apology on national television. However, he said he hopes Reynaldo also learned her lesson.
"Siguro tao lang po kaya nagagawa po iyun… nagsisisi ako sa action pero sana nabigyan ko din siya ng konting lesson," Encinas told GMA News.

John Paul Encinas' apology is useless. This man is too arrogant.
He made a public apology then he pointed out that the cashier should have learned a lesson from the incident. I don't know what type of reasoning this man has. Why would you physically hurt a woman considering that you are a man?
John Encinas, you should be the person who needs to learn a lesson out of your arrogance. Even if the lady made a stupid mistake, you reacted too much. You deserve to face all possible charges.
