Lean Egarta: 3-month old baby killed by father in Cavite
Lean Egarta, a three-month-old baby, was killed by her own father on Wednesday in Barangay San Luis 2, Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Arlene, the mother of the child, left her baby to her husband to buy a kilo of rice but when she arrived, the baby was already lying on the floor and had no signs of life. She also noticed that her husband was no longer in the crime scene.
Arlene sought the assistance of her neighbor to find her husband.
The 27-year-old suspect, Antonino Egarta, surrendered to the authorities with the help of his godfather who also lives in the area.
Antonino Egarta admitted the crime and said that he killed his child because of numerous problems.
According to police investigation, Antonino is experiencing depression after losing his job and for lack of money.
