Love Knows No Race, Defies Lengthy Absence and Overlooks Distant Separation | The Story of a 17, 000 Mile- Long Distance Relationship
“Love knows no boundaries”, a cliché to successful romantic relationships. A good example is the story that you are about to read where two people defied all odds for their love.
Romel Sindol, a typical 22 year old Filipino fell in love to a “ total stranger”, a 19-year-old Canadian named Ellodie Pelletier. The lovely Canadian took the risk and gave the Filipino a chance to get to know her better. After getting familiar with each other, their love grew deeper and before they knew it, they are already just a hair strand away from each other!
Their moments together were captured perfectly and were compiled in a video which was uploaded inYoutube. It caught the attention of netizens specially the hopeless lovers. Romel gave back hopes for the broken hearted ones and he strengthened the faith of the hopeless romantics.
In his video, he showed their love story – a long distance relationship. Thru constant sweet conversations on Facebook, Skype, MSN, their love grew fonder and they were able to make it a lasting relationship which everyone is probably dreaming to have as well.
The video below showed Romel and Ellodie’s fairy tale-like relationship, perfectly timed for the Valentines season.
They waited for almost three (3) years before they finally met each other. They spent their time together for about a month or two, then Ellodie went back to Canada again. After a year and a half of separation, Ellodie flew back to the Philippines and then they both decided to tie the knot last August 2013 and finally settled down for good.
I’ve always contemplated that stories like this can only be seen on romantic movies. I thought this can only be read in quixotic novels. Now I’m totally convinced that this can really happen in real life. I am not looking for an outlandish type of set-up like what they had at any rate since I already have a special someone whom I wanted to cherish for a lifetime, “Hi baby!”. :)
Through constant communication, honesty, loyalty and acceptance, a long and lasting relationship can be formed. They are still too young though, and having a married life is no joke so they have to be twice as patient as they were before. Nonetheless, I would like to congratulate both of them for finally finding “ THE ONE”.
Happy Valentines Day everyone!
