New York: Fil-Am Gabrielle Molina committed suicide due to cyber bullying
A tragic death of Fil-American Gabrielle Molina, 12 years old, happened on Wednesday afternoon when she committed a suicide in their home at Queens Village, New York after allegedly being bullied online.
According to NYPD, Molina left a note saying she was "sorry" and that she was "cyber bullied." She was was branded a slut and a whore and was also told that she looked like she had a Down Syndrome.
Gabrielle Molina was a seventh grader at a local middle school, Jean Nuzzi Intermediate School 109, left a heartbreaking note explaining that she had taken her life after suffering relentless taunts online and at school from her classmates, said dailymail news report.
Molina was also harassed by schoolyard bullies for months after a sickening video entitled 'Gabby's Fight' was uploaded on YouTube, friends said. The video showed the girl, who was barely 5ft tall, being beaten up.
Gabrielle's father, George Molina, claimed that the school failed to address the incident quickly enough and the youtube video was not immediately taken down.
