UAAP basketball players, Jeric and Jeron Teng join Showbiz
Jeric and Jeron Teng, dubbed as the "double trouble brothers," are the latest basketball players to join showbiz after they signed a managerial contract with talent manager Dondon Monteverde, who also handles the career of James Yap.
In his instagram account, Jeric posted a photo of him and Jeron with Monteverde last Monday night.
Jeric Teng, who plays for the University of Sto. Tomas Growling Tigers, wants to star with Isabelle Daza. Asked how ready are they to venture into show business, Jeron said:
“We are kinda getting used to it, kapag may mga pinapasayaw ganun.”
On the other hand, Jeron Teng, who plays for the De La Salle Green Archers, hopes to work with actress Julia Montes.
“Celebrity crush ko talaga si Julia Montes. Kasi medyo ka-age ko lang din and I always see her on TV. I wish to meet her one day,” he said.
Both basketball players have already appeared on ABS-CBN’s “Gandang Gabi Vice.”
The Teng brothers are the sons of PBA great Alvin Teng. According to their father, it is comforting to know that they will be working hand in hand with Monteverde in terms of the two boys’ showbiz career.
“I’m very happy. Masayang masaya ako lalo na si Dondon Monteverde ang hahawak sa dalawang anak ko. Siyempre unang una, kailangan may katulong. Si Mr. Dondon Monteverde, kabisado nila ang mga ganyan,” he said.
Despite this, both Jeron and Jeric said playing basketball will still be their main priority. Jeric has another year with UST, while Jeron has four more years with DLSU. -ABS-C BN news
