Mark Joseph Tajo Solis's List of Stolen Photos, UP graduate Plagiarized Pictures won Prizes Around the World
DH.com attempted to consolidate the photos that were allegedly stolen by Mark Joseph Tajo Solis, a UP graduate who won various international photography awards and prizes including the one posted in BBC news website.
News reports revealed that even five (5) years ago, Mark Solis already established his habit in stealing photos from Flickr, a famous photo sharing site, and submitted it to different intenational photo competitions. Mark Joseph Tajo Solis eventually won many contests but little did he know that his winning streak will come to an end in the most disgraceful way.
The UP graduate reaped the fruits of his alleged plagiarized photos. Gregory John Smith, one of the owners of the photos he stole from the internet, posted on his facebook status regarding the photo of a Zambo boy collecting a seaweed and claimed that it was his picture.
We searched and collected the pictures that were stolen by Mark Solis. This is for your reference only.

You might want to watch the speech of Mark Solis during the awarding ceremony of the Chile Embassy-sponsored photo contest. I hope his speech is not like the speech of Tito Sotto else I will call him Mark SOTTO-LIS!
