For better or worse - Hernelie Ruazol and Ram Ocampo had an extraordinary wedding on Wednesday. It was the peak of the devastating torrential rainfall in the metro while the two lovers took their vow in Manila and had a memorable 'extraordinary' wedding finale photoshoot outside the church where the flood rose up to their knees. "I only wished to have a simple wedding but we had an extraordinary one!" said Hernelie, an elementary school teacher.
Best wishes to the newly weds from the entire staff of DiversityHuman.com.
Anyways, I was wondering if this is the first in the world?
Well, google says - No!
Marc and Janina Leibowitz, of New York, got married in Pittsfield, Vermont in August 2011. Hurricane Irene hit and put the bridal cottage under 5ft of water after Tweed Creek rose. Groomsmen rigged up ladders to cross the stream. They got out over a bridge, which then collapsed and left some of the guests behind at the inn.
Another wedding ceremony below(anonymous couple).
They said, "It does pay to have a wedding during a hurricane! Bad weather can bring out the best pictures. We took these last year when hurricane Alex was enroute to the city." Though I was not able to confirm the names of the couple, I guess it is still worth to include them in this article.
Finally we have Shannon and Ben were both determined to be married on the beach regardless of the weather. Hurricane Ida raged to the West of the Cayman Islands while their wedding was staged in the beach of somewhere in Little Cayman. Raindrops miraculously ceased falling just as the ceremony began- a good luck for the new couple.
Shannon and Ben's wedding at Little Cayman Beach Resort. Hurricane Ida raged to the West of the Cayman Islands while making their once in a lifetime vow!
Hurricane Ida missed them so they decided to jump into the sea.
They said, "'Til death do us part...". But the flood like the one experienced by Hernelie Ruazol and Ram Ocampo wasn't really a life threatening situation. They are still luckier compared to Marc and Janina Leibowitz who almost lost their lives when hurricane Irene hit the wedding area.
Despite the bad weather conditions everything went fine and good for all of them unlike Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's relationship which went awry.
