Angel Jean Ligad (Amy Jean Nuena Ligad), OFW who suffers severe physical abuse in Kuwait
Angel Jean Ligad or Amy Jean Nuena Ligad is an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Kuwait who is currently experiencing a traumatic and inhuman treatment from her employer.
Angel Jean Ligad was allegedly hurt by her employer, Mohammad Esmaeil Mohammad Taqi.
According to the post of Amy Jean Nuena Ligad in her facebook account, Mohammad hit her head with a shoe and punched her face. She was dragged down, later Mohammad pulled her hair and while she was forcibly held down she was thrown into the apartment walls several times resulting to bruises on her face and several wounds around her elbow.
Angel Jean Ligad is currently being locked down in one of her employer's room and Mohammad only allows Marina (a house maid) to enter the room to bring food to her.
Angel Ligad is badly asking any OFW or concerned citizens to report her case to the Philippine embassy in Kuwait.
