The FEU Tamaraws never gave up their game against UE Red Warriors eventhough their fans were considering it as a big nightmare. Coming from a seven-point deficit, the Tams set a remarkable 8-1 scoring run in the final 17 seconds of the first overtime. And from a forced turnover, Mendoza took a successful three-point shot from the corner making the score, 84-82, with 14 seconds left.
FEU quickly fouled Rui Sumang, who only scored 1 out of his 2 free throws. Mike Tolomia immediately took the ball from the back court. He decided to take a crucial shot at the top of the arc and nailed it forcing another overtime.
In the second OT, FEU Tamaraws outscored the Red Warriors, 98-94.
