Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Keep on “DUCKING” Amid WBC’s Mandatory boxing Fight
The fight between WBC Welterweight Champion Floyd “Money“ Mayweather Jr. ( 45 W 0 L 0 D 26 Kos) and Fighter of the Decade Manny “ Pacman “ Pacquiao ( 54 W 5 L 2 D 38 Kos ) that all boxing fans have been dreaming about seems to be likely possible ….. AGAIN.
After handful of failed negotiations between the two camps due to several reasons, the WBC now considered Pacquiao as the Mandatory Challenger to Mayweather’s championship belt. Some of the reasons for previous failed negotiations were the Urine and drug test, the revenue split, and unconstructed stadium that will fit all those who will watch the event. All of these unsettled agendas were spitted by both camps which resulted to great disappointments.
The idea about the megafight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. resurfaced after the Filipino superstar was declared as the No. 1 ranked Welterweight in the World Boxing Council (WBC) following an impressive one-sided beating of Brandon Rios in Macau last month.
Mayweather Jr. and Golden Boy Promotions believe that it is far from happening despite the move that WBC made to help make this fight come true.
Mayweather Jr., who was previously jailed, evaluated his past performances with Pacquiao’s and said he feels that the 34-year-old congressman still doesn’t deserve a shot at him because he has lost back-to-back fights to Juan Manuel Marquez and Timothy Bradley, before beating Rios.
“I’m 45-0 throughout my professional career, and like I always said before, I’m going to say it again, you put them in front of me, I’ll beat them,” said Mayweather.
There are no positive signs that Mayweather Jr. is interested to face Pacquiao at all, not even in a obligatory title defense.
“You have to realize this, everybody kept talking about the title, he’s mandatory. He can have the belt. A belt doesn’t make me,” he said.
Who do you think is ducking among the two? Is it Pacquiao who is afraid to make this fight happen? Or is it the ever so stoop Mayweather who always finds his way out of the said megafight talks?
