Kobe Paras Signed a Contract and will play for UCLA
The 6’6” Kobe Paras has chosen to sign the contract offered by UCLA. The decision of the son of two-time PBA Most Valuable Player Benjie Paras came into place after reviewing all the offers he received from various international universities.
Kobe Paras picked UCLA but prior to that decision he closely reviewed the teams who showed interest to him which includes Arizona State, UC Irvine, Texas Arlington, Portland State and Fresno State. The overwhelming opportunites for the younger Paras continued to pour in after he contributed the win of Los Angeles Cathedral, 57-50, where he scored 22 points.
Though Kobe Paras accepted and signed the contract of UCLA, his father was always behind him and guided Kobe to choose the right offer. Despite the lucrative contract, Benjie reminded his son to focus on his study while performing his duties for NCAA Division 1 team UCLA.
In 2013, Kobe Paras was the overall champion of FIBA under-18 Honda dunk competition where he highligted his skills in slamming the ball in a very artistic way. Last year, he also had a viral video featuring Kobe Paras version of "in your face" slam dunk against Lebron James.
