Raffy Tulfo is currently in hot waters after he allegedly challenged 16M Duterte voters with his 42M to 50M subscribers across different social media platforms. News circulating on social media cited that Raffy will run for a national position this 2022 election and ready to face battle against Duterte. The RTIA video has been deleted but several Duterte supporters obtained a copy and reupload the video back in Youtube.

The clip started with the guesting topic of Raffy Tulfo and the controversial issue about the closure of ABS-CBN network due to failed renewal of its broadcasting franchise from the Philippine government. Raffy followed up with a statement about '8 remaining months' which being interpreted by the viewers as the remaining period of the current administration. The famous radio and TV anchor became more specific with his argument when he mentioned about 16M votes versus 40 million subscribers which he claims that it will be a big challenge for Duterte in the 2022 national election. A lot of netizens interpreted that Tulfo is referring to his Youtube subscribers and Facebook followers that sums up to 40-42 million active subscribers.
